We've finally passed out of the random large square state portion of the trip, and into the lots of food portion. We've been staying with actual people, which is nifty, and because of this, eating real food. This is a pleasing change from random restaurants and sandwich-like-objects eaten in the car.

Soon we will arrive in Boston, and the first third of my voyage will be complete. Oh, for those folk in Boston who haven't heard (likely all but the ones coming with me), I'll be in Boston from about the 2nd through about the 9th. If you'd be interested in doing something there, let me know. Also, if you happen to know anyone looking for an ecologist, math/science teacher/intern at a charter school or mathematical modeler in the general Boston area, do let me know. I should have internet access, so leave a comment or email for me.

Oh, and because there isn't much road trip left, here are some other amusing things I've seen/done along the way:
(aka, 8 things you've probably not done (with a few exceptions, like you going along on a segment of this trip))
* Scared off one biker gang
* Seen Ohio's #1 freemason (keeping secret societies as non-secret as possible since some time ago, it would seem)
* Taken pictures of a giant spoon
* Climbed on tanks
* Predicted a horse-punch
* climbed down 2 waterfalls (well, 1.5, to be fair)
* Walked through a herd of bison once they closed in behind us
* Decided that future life plans would involve more caving, and take steps in this direction

There are way too many Minnesotans on your friends list for you to suppose it's unlikely we've taken pictures of a giant spoon.

I, too, have climbed on tanks, but not on this continent.

What on earth is a horse-punch, and how did you predict it?

Man punches horse.

Man hurts his hand. Man says, "Ow."

Well, as much as I'd like to see you folk, I don't think I'll be able to get up to Boston in that time frame. However, I'm glad to see you've enjoyed your trip!

Being in Boston, and generally around tomorrow (June 3), I'd be interested in doing something.
