My thesis is basically a set of models on aspects of fire ecology. I'm looking at one of three things (still getting past the background stage): measures of patchiness in managed and unmanaged fires, some demography of serotinous trees and timing of fire intervals, or how the frequency of serotiny distributes tied in with an ESS model. All this is likely going to take data from various pine species. Hence, my thesis, regardless of which of the three I pick will be about pine trees on fire.
Hey I just realized that I never gave you the old EDC financal data. Do you want it? (It's GnuCash data, which only runs under *NIX, so you'd need Mac OS X, Linux, or BSD to use it)
Also, did you guys ever manage to convince the bank that they should let you play with the money in the account and sign the checks?
Yeah, I could use the data, though I don't currently have a system that can use it, it would still be good to have around. I need to get that signing thing done sometime...
that's the kind of presentation title that would get me in the door. However, if you were to do such a thing we would have to expect a full rendition of the burnination song to go with it ;-)
