Don't Make Me Think: A Common Sense Approach to Web Usability by Steve Krug - A fast (under 2 hour) read that gives solid guidelines for web site design, as well as fast/easy usability testing.

Sources of Power: How People Make Decisions by Gary Klein - An analysis of "how people make choices with time constraints, limited information, and changing goals." The book is well-argued and has useful suggestions for how to make certain types of decisions.

Why We Buy: The Science Of Shopping by Paco Underhill - Lots of solid information on how different store factors/layouts affect people's shopping habits. It does give a strange vibe of being written to help the stores, rather than the shoppers, despite the title. (Which makes sense, since the shoppers aren't the ones paying for the initial studies, but feels a little weird to read positive portrayals of the ways one's instincts are manipulated.)
