Interesting things

A swooping bat in the hallway triggers "oh no! It's coming for my head!" reflexes I didn't know I had. The bat would have been very cute, if it weren't for the aformentioned reflexes. Fortunately, purplebob is an experienced bat-remover. (Poor purplebob, sometimes it's better not to be the acknowledged expert...)

Also, I made delicious choco-booze. In practice, the recipe is basically like a thin pudding, but instead of milk, there's Madiera, or in this case, Port. We decided that the best serving method would be either to thicken it into real pudding, or pour it over pound cake with strawberries.

One of these days I should post a handful of nonfiction book reviews, or at least the names of the books...
