Fun and games
Jan. 7th, 2006 01:21 amI am quite fond
cmouse's Christmas present. She got Shadows over Camelot, a highly spiffy game, even if I can't bring myself to be very mean as the traitor in a game with 4 new players and me in it. Bad luck did them in anyhow, so it didn't turn out to matter much. I think I've figured out that one of the things I really like in games is player interaction, even if I'm really bad at versions that require mistrust (one of the most common variants). Take, say, Mafia. I can't convince people of my innocence even when its true. :)
We also opened the bottle of His Eminence's choice and discovered that port is very tasty. The three of us that live here also had excessive amounts of fun with the traditions surrounding the drink, waiting to pounce on an opportunity to mention the Bishop of Gloucester.
To cap off the night, I have decided not to go early to bed in a sensible fashion, but rather install Ubuntu on the computer that's been in the living room for ages. So far, so good, though it is still in the sitting around updating LJ while things load. Have decided to continue naming streak of one and call it Genie. Those of you who aren't
willworker are invited to guess this theme, given that my laptop is named Kanga. I'd guess only a small handful of East-folk have the references to get this one.
